Gaciron LOOP-100 Rechargeable Smart Brake Bike Tail Light
The type-c rechargeable Gaciron LOOP-100 is a smart brake tail light that works as a rear light and also brake light, featuring six modes of flashing and steady light: Trail mode is a quick bright flash, Power Saving is a low slow flash, while Fog Light is somewhere between the two. A motion sensor registers when brakes are applied, which then triggers the brake light. In addition to the braking sensor it has a handy battery indicator which provides a rough idea of how much runtime remains. While the ‘brake’ light is 100 lumens, Gaciron doesn’t list the strength of the other modes, but they’re bright enough to maintain visibility in varying weather conditions. The brake sensor functions in any of the six settings, and is brighter than any of the modes, so that braking is always obvious. LOOP-100 charges via USB-C in 2.5 hours, with the on/off switch turning blue to indicate it’s fully charged, and battery life varies between 5.5 and 40 hours, depending on which mode it is in, and also depending on the amount of braking. It also features a sleep mode, where the light automatically shuts off after two minutes, when no movement is detected, and as soon as movement is detected, it automatically switches itself back on. The LOOP-100 comes with two magnetic mounting options: a tool-free option that attaches to the seatpost, and a bracket that fits under the saddle.
